Micro, small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina have the potential to create growth and create new jobs. With the aim of strengthening the BiH economy, the EU4Business project of the European Union encourages the development of entrepreneurship, export-oriented sectors, tourism and agriculture, as well as rural development.

For this purpose, a total of 10m euros has been earmarked through a grant.

The end users are micro, small and medium enterprises, farmers and entrepreneurs, with special emphasis on young people, women and vulnerable groups. The project also addresses the improvement of the business environment in BiH. The results will be measured by new jobs and increased exports and sales, as well as better use of EU funds.

The EU4Business project is worth € 16.1 million and is jointly funded by the European Union (€ 15 million) and the Federal Republic of Germany (€ 1.1 million). The project is being implemented jointly by GIZ, ILO and UNDP, from April 2018 to March 2022

Short description of the project:

The project will lead to the improvement of labor productivity and overall production technology of the company PROINOX FM Ltd through the procurement of sophisticated equipment and the application of a greater degree of digitalization and innovation in production management. The project also plans to strengthen human resources, along with improving the knowledge and skills of workers at work in existing and new production processes. By applying modern marketing tools and standards, the export capacities of this manufacturer of professional stainless steel catering equipment will be improved. The project will lead to increased sales and new jobs.
